Question: In which way will Mc Donald’s improve/change their concept in the future?
In the USA the Mc Donald’s will upgrade, innovate and expand their buildings. In the USA they won’t build any new locations because there are more then enough Mc Donald’s at this moment. In the future when there will be more customers more Mc Donald’s locations will be built.
In Europe there are enough possible places where new locations can be built because the number of Mc Donald’s locations is far less than in the USA.

Question: Will Mc Donald’s change their menu’s to better serve the target group?
Yes, these days Mc Donald’s serves ice coffee to compete with Starbucks. The Mc Donald’s also serves cappuccino with different tastes to diverse itself from the competition.
We also offer more healthy products to maintain the demand of customers in more healthy products.

Question: What are the possibilities to make promotion in the company?
Inside the Mc Donald’s there are plenty of possibilities to make promotion. The best chance to make a good promotion is to start working in a location of the company to work yourself upwards.
To make a promotion from the outside with no experience is a lot harder, because they miss work experience and they miss the knowledge of working in the Mc Donald’s concept.

Question: What are the differences between Mc Donald’s USA and Mc Donald’s in the rest of the world?
The menus are adjusted to the target groups in the different countries. For example; In India they serve soya meat instead of cow meat, in Germany they serve beer with the menu’s; in the USA this is prohibited by law. In Japan they serve rice and fish, in the USA there is no demand for these products.

Question: Are the prices of the menus in the different locations adjusted to the target group in that location?
Yes there are differences. Prices differ in the USA. It depends on the location. The location at the Grand Canyon is very expensive. On this location they don’t have any competition with other fast food chains.
Because there is no competition the prices are higher.
In big cities there are a lot of fast food companies so the competition makes sure the prices are low.

Question: What do you want the customer to experience when he/she enters a Mc Donald’s location?
We want to offer fast and friendly service, good food and a clean atmosphere. When the customer walks into a Mc Donald’s which is not clean they won’t come back.

Question: Is there any difference between the ingredients which are used between the different locations?
No, there isn’t any difference. Mc Donald’s has its own contracts with farmers for instance: Cattle, lettuce and tomatoes. If farmers don’t obey the rules of the contract Mc Donald’s will kill the contract. One of the rules is that the farmers only sell their merchandise to the Mc Donald’s. The quality of the food has to be good otherwise the contract will be broken.
In the period of the Mad Cow Disease chicken was sold a lot more, cow meat was sold a lot less.
