Burger King or Mac Donalds?
I remember a similar thread on this subject but please consider this for the front page news regarding Burger King and Mac Donalds. Not long back I visited a Burger King and waited so long for service I ended up walking away. It was a Bank Holiday weekend and they had like two members of staff serving with a whole queue of people waiting. I ended up trying to message them on their website and then had to phone so I would imagine most people wouldnt have bothered to even complain but I did. About a week later I get an apology letter from Burger King and two vouchers for BK Meals. OK I think thats cool of them and they are forgiven. This was relating to the service at their motorway service station near Keele.Three weeks later I pull over at the Frankley Services at Junction three just outside Birmingham where Im like starving hungry and anything will do. What do I find but another slovenly sloppy service establishment and two people working there. This cannot possibly be classed as fast food its a joke. This time I just headed out and into Birmingham where I reluctantly stopped at Mc Donalds. I used the drive through and ordered a big mac meal and a chicken something for my partner and coffee and a milk shake and was told to drive to the next window where the food was already ready in like 45 seconds flat.I really dont like Mc Donalds but that is so impressive. Burger King got better burgers but not better fries and most of their other food is better too but the service is so bad it looks like an amateur against the way Mc Donalds operate. Burger King really got to do something to get its act together its just a joke on service.Anyone else had similar problems with Burger King?

Nice combination. I eat there a lot because I can't cook and I think it's very cheap.

Fine. I don't think it's relevant. The important thing is that I get my food. I don't care if they're smiling or not.
Question: Do you have some positive experiences of the visit to the Mc Donalds?
Yes. I really like the food. I'm working outside all day and I don't have a long break so I go to the Mc Donalds because I get my food very quick.
Question: Do you have some negative experiences of the visit to the Mc Donalds?
Once, I had to wait very long. Because they made a mistake. They brought me the wrong burger so they had to make a new one. Because of that, I showed up too late at work.
Question: What is typical for Mc Donald’s, what is the difference with other fast food restaurants?
I think they have the fastest service of any fast food restaurant. If they don't make any mistakes you get your food in just a few minutes.
Question: Would you like to change or add something to Mc Donald’s?
No, I don't know anything that they could change. I always eat the same thing. Maybe they could make it cheaper for me because I come back every day. ( laughing)
Question: Do you think advertising has an influence on your behavior?
No, it doesn't have any influence. I don't mind if they have a new meal or a new flavour of milkshakes. Actually, I've never seen an advertisement of the Mc Donalds because I don't watch television that much.
Question: What do you think Mac Donalds needs to improve to get more costumers?
I think it would be perfect if they would have a Mc Delivery. People which are working very hard don't have time to drive to the Mc Donalds and order some food. For them it would be a good sollution.

The service is pretty good. Although they're not "really" friendly. They're just pretending to be friendly with their fake smile, but a good thing is that at the Mc Donald's they employees all can speak normal Englisch, at the Taco Bell or Wendy's there Englisch lituaraly sucks.
Question: Do you have some positive experiences of the visit to the Mc Donalds?
Yes. It's fast, you get your food very quick. It's cheap, you only pay a few dollars for a meal and it's relatively tasty.

The Mc Donald's is a very busy restaurant. Once I came there and there wasn't any place to sit down. I think that's something that should not happen too much.

The fast service. The Mc Donalds is the only restaurant where you get your food that quick. Especially the Mc Drive. In 2 minutes you get your food, that's a very good thing.

Yes, of course. When they introduce a new product. I might go up there and try it and every time you here the name Mc Donald's you are going to think about the Mc Donald's, that's where they want to get to.

I think it's a very good combination. We're from Holland so the meals are a lot cheaper here. In holland we pay something like 6 euro's for a meal. We just paid 6 dollars for a meal, so that's a big difference.

The service is not so good. We had to wait very long for our meals. We we're waiting for 10 minutes before we had something to eat. That is pretty long for a Mc Donalds. I can understand that when they're very busy, but we were the only customers.

I always enjoy the food. A lot of people say that the burgers are too cold and things like that but I don't mind. I just like the burgers a lot.

Yes, a few days ago, they gave me the wrong order. I ordered a Big Mac and they only gave me a hamburger. It wasn't a big problem, but it's the only negative experience I've had.

No, I once ordered a plane burger, but there were some things on it which my girlfriend didn't like. I complained about it and I got a new one directly.

If you order a burger at the Burger King, there are many many things on it. A burger needs to have a lot of meat and maybe a little bit of salade or something. That is something the BurgerKing doesn't understand. It's strange, there are so many people at the Burger King. If you want a salade you would eat somewhere else, don't you think?

At the Mac you do have Milkshakes, but ther are just few flavours. I would like to try some other flavours.
